Fundraising Events and Activities
Fundraising is a fun and sociable way to support Friends of Victoire while raising awareness of what we do, and there are lots of ways of getting involved.
Our fundraising events are very useful in raising funds to help meet, learn and practice Victoire Ingabire Umuhoza’s peace and reconciliation approach.
Fundraising events not only raise funds but also public awareness of the injustice committed against her but also, most importantly, these events bring together everyone who shares our love for Victoire Ingabire Umuhoza.
Campaign and Networking Events and Activities
Campaign activities are events that we organise as a way of promoting awareness of Victoire Ingabire Umuhoza’s cause and the organisation itself. They are also our way of socialising with all volunteers, supporters and our long-term donors.
We are present in cities, countries where our members live. Our aim is to be more visible and be more active in social media (Facebook, Twitter and Youtube).
Community Integration and Participation Projects
Inspired by Victoire Ingabire’s involvement with the community, from small associations in her local community to women associations, Friends of Victoire have had successful refugee integration and participation projects in West Yorkshire, UK. These projects enable members of local refugee communities to gain awareness about participation opportunities available as well as their rights and entitlement in relation to participation. Theses projects contribute in reducing isolation of member of refugee communities and facilitating them to gain sense of belonging to the wider community.
